Where is your office located?
Currently, I’m doing telehealth (virtual) sessions, so you can do therapy right from home! It’s easy! I send you a link to click, and you are in.
I also have limited office hours at the office of Reflections Counseling and Coaching Center. Here is the address:
7345 International Place
Suite 108
Lakewood Ranch, FL 34240
Is there anything else I need to know about your office?
Yes, the sign on the door reads “Creative Lending” and “VBG Contractors.” Everybody gets a plug today! The counseling office is in there. Just take a seat in the reception area, and I will come out to get you.
What are the hours of operation?
For in-office sessions, hours vary based on availability as there are others sharing the office.
For virtual therapy, my hours are flexible.
How long are sessions?
Each session lasts 55 minutes.
How do I pay?
I accept credit cards for telehealth appointments. For in-office appointments, I accept credit cards, checks, or cash.
I do not accept insurance.
With whom do you work?
I work with a variety of clients, including women, men, and teen girls.
What forms do I need to fill out?
There are definitely a lot of forms, but they are all included right here and easy to complete.
- Welcome Letter
- Authorization for Release/Request of Information/Records
- Biophysical Intake Assessment & Client Information – Adult
- Biophysical Intake Assessment & Client Information – Minors
- Health Insurance Portability Accountability (HIPPA)
- Suicide Risk Assessment & Client Treatment Compliance Agreement
- Technology Assisted Counseling Consent, Policies, and Agreement
- Therapy Consent, Policies, and Agreement
What is the first session like?
Ah, great question! It is not scary, I promise.
We start by reviewing your paperwork, talking about your responses to some of the questions… and build from there. I’ve had a lot of success helping people feel comfortable in the first session.
Do I have to lie on a couch?
Many people wonder that when they think of therapy sessions, but no, you don’t have to. Anyway, we only have a loveseat, so your feet may hang off the armrests. If you’re more comfortable lying down, though, it is okay. Whatever helps you relax enough to share your innermost feelings.
Does anyone cry in front of you?
Absolutely! I highly recommend it… if you’re feeling it. Don’t hold back in here. I tell my clients it is very cathartic, as it releases so much pent-up emotion. If not in here, where?
What do you enjoy about being a therapist?
I get to meet so many people, support them through their life circumstances, and help them improve their lives.
I also learn many things from my clients. They never cease to amaze me with their strengths even if they are unaware of them at first.
Being a therapist is never boring. It is richly rewarding to watch someone be an avid participant in their own progress, not only in session, but also to use what they’ve learned outside of the session. They are truly investing in a better future for themselves.
What is your favorite color?
That’s a tough one because I love many colors. I would definitely say a bright coral still makes the top of the list. I’m drawn to it. It brightens my day, my skin, and makes me happy overall!
Do you have a list of resources in the area?
Yes, if you or anyone with you is having suicidal thoughts call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
If you or someone with you is in immediate danger, or having a mental health emergency/crisis, call 911 or seek help at the nearest Emergency Room.
